I hate this muppet that parks next to me.. It’s supposed to be a visitors park, but this dickwad leaves his 4wd there 24/7.  Uggh. Oh well.  I installed the DMAX lights today.  I like them, but they blink too god damn fast.  Oh well.. Load resistor is what fixes it apparently.

V Monster Dutchman

Earlier this year Ben, Dom & Myself filmed the V 4 & Rotary Nationals at Meremere, the highlight of the day would have to of been the crazy Dutchman that drove the V Monster Truck.  Look at the size of this dude!  He shook my hand then apologised when he heard something crack! NO SHIT.

It hurt.




Car Stuff.

So the car is almost done, I’m pretty excited, there are a few things that I need to sort though.. My awesome coilovers are too fat.  They hit on the wheel (front only).  Even with a 5mm slip on they still hit.  So thats a bit of a bummer.  I’m running a 25mm adapter on the front at the moment just so I can continue to drive round (I daily my car).  So that’s why the front offset is -8 at the moment.  It’s also max cambered haha, I don’t like the look at all, it looks like a mexican car. YUCK.

So the Ohlins / Swift Springs are for sale.  I have someone who is interested in swapping them for some HKS Hypermax D’s,  I googled them and they appear to be a lot thinner than the Ohlins so that might work.  I am going to test fit my wheels on a friends car on Saturday who is running the same coilovers.  If it fits ok w/ no spacer then I will probably go through with the swap.  As long as the new coilovers are in good condition and ride well / no bumps / knocks etc…

The rear fitment is ok now, I had another go on the guards last night with the roller and they don’t rub at all anymore, if I want to lower the car in the future I’ll probably have to roll it again but I like the rideheight at the moment, I actually don’t mind the 45 profile on the rear either, although I know some people won’t.

The wheels are awesome, I’ve had so many cool comments, I’m 100% happy I bought them.  I was sceptical right up until the last minute but the taper / sizing just finishes the car perfectly.  The MGS color is perfect too.

Hopefully I can get Joe to do some cool photos soon, after I’ve fixed the above.
